10-1 shows a very high level of literary ability. It is very tough to integrate steamy romance into a political setting. The author does this superbly well

At the same time, the book takes on two very big challenges

1. Conservative vs Liberal/Progressive Romance. Unfortunately, this will throw off some readers
2. Marriage Troubles. This will scare off a significant number of readers as most romance readers do not want to read about marriage troubles (you could argue that they are reading Romance precisely because they are sick of the harsh reality of marriage being imperfect)

We applaud the author for writing such an intricately layered and challenging book. It is quite remarkable that the author managed to pull it off. At the same time, it is a very tough direction for a new author to take.

Any new author building a readership should think twice before going into either politics or marriage problems. Focusing on either makes their author journey much tougher. To write a book with both politics and a troubled marriage is insanely brave

We think the author has a lot of promise and definitely has a promising future. Romance and Steamy Romance have lots of well defined sub categories and ‘unwritten rules’ to follow. Hopefully the author explores some of those ‘tested’ and ‘safe’ areas in their future books. That would allow their immense writing talent to shine brighter
