Editorial Review for Freedom, Emotion and Fascism – A Psycho-Sociological Analysis of the Modern American Progressive Movement by Marc Schifanelli

Freedom, Emotion and Fascism – A Psycho-Sociological Analysis of the Modern Progressive Movement by Marc Schifanelli – Editorial Review

Freedom, Emotion and Fascism is a very valuable book in that it takes a deep dive into understanding the American Progressive Movement from a psychological and sociological perspective.

We would categorize it as a must-read for anyone interested in politics, and especially for patriotic Americans.

America has, unfortunately, become a very polarized country. The Constitution and Common Sense have been replaced by ’emotional arguments’ and illogical theories.

Very few people on either side are willing to take a sensible, common-sense approach to understanding each other’s motivations. Americans sorely need more books like Mr. Schifanelli’s Freedom, Emotion and Fascism, so as to focus on a rational, common-sense approach towards re-uniting America.

Curator’s Thoughts

We are living in a world where instead of truths and logical, rational analysis, people want to make decisions based on emotions and knee-jerk reactions

A great example of this is Critical Race Theory.

At a time when the CEOs of Microsoft, Google, Nivida, Facebook, Amazon (5 of the 6 biggest technology companies) are Indian American, Chinese American, and Jewish American by ethnicity – Are we really going to pretend there is some systemic bias in America against non-white people?

Equal Opportunity is very different from Equal Outcome. It is ludicrous that some people think that in every area of life there should be ‘equal outcome’. That every profession should follow the national census demographics to a T.

If you give people Equal Opportunity then some will take better advantage of that. That is why most colleges are now 55% to 60% women.

Young women are much more diligent and careful than young men and that is being reflected in women taking up 55% or more of college admissions. Which is EXACTLY as it should be. It should be a Meritocracy.

55% to 60% of College Seats are being taken up by hard-working and sensible young women. Does that mean that colleges are ‘inherently’ discriminating against Men? Of course not.

Does it mean that some hard-working young women getting into college should give up their hard-won seats to less focused young men so as to keep the ratio at 50%-50%? No, not at all. It would be extremely unfair to punish young women for being more diligent and working harder.

Yet, that is the EXACT argument being used to push ‘Equal Outcome’, instead of encouraging Equal Opportunity.

People will gravitate towards professions based on their interests and inclinations. There is no profession that perfectly matches national demographics – neither by ethnicity, nor by religion.

Pushing ’emotional’ theories and advocating for ‘Equal Outcome” are not the path forward.

The only solution is to go back to common sense and rational thought. Freedom, Emotion and Fascism by Mr. Schifanelli is a big step in that direction.
