The author, Una Rose McKinley, has done very well with her debut novel, Run Away to Mars.
She does get a lot right in her debut novel –
- At its heart it is a good read.
- The writing is excellent.
- The premise and setting are very unique and really draw you into the book.
- The love story between Audrid and her husband Torias is the perfect foil/foundation for the novel.
- There is a good amount of intrigue and mystery.
- It stays true to all 3 of its genres – Steamy Romance, Science Fiction Romance, Psychological Thriller. This is very commendable and hard to pull off.
- We could tell you its the author’s 5th book and you would not have been surprised. That being said, we hope to see her continue to improve as an author with her newer books.
We would also point out that the author’s writing and storytelling abilities are very strong. They are a very good fit for any kind of Romance. She should consider trying different Romance genres – branching beyond Steamy Romance and Steamy Science Fiction Romance.
